Fans Angry Over 70 YO Kamal's Kissing, Intimate Scenes With 30 Yrs Younger Trisha, Abhirami

38 years after the all-time classic Nayakan, the two legends of Indian cinemaKamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are reuniting for the big screen with the upcoming action drama Thug Life.

The film also starring Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Asiwharya Lekshmi and Sanya Malhotra recently dropped its much-awaited trailer in multiple Indian languages including Tamil and Hindi.

The trailer garnered a lot of love from the audiences, however, there are a couple of sequences in the promo that has left a number of people on social media furious.

The Thug Life trailer features a 70-year-old Kamal Haasan (turning 72 in November) who is seen doing a kissing scene with the 41-year-old actress Abhirami who’ll be turning 42 in July.

In another sequence in the trailer, Kamal Haasan is seen getting intimate with Trisha Krishnan who is 42.

Another user commented, “An old man romancing a young woman is not a problem as long as it’s addressed. An old man pretending to be young and romancing young girls is weird.”

A third user reacted, “Where are all those guys who's only job is to Bash telugu senior heroes by saying they need to learn from Kamal”.

A fourth user wrote, “There is nothing wrong in the pairing since the plot demands it clearly shows the aged gangster having an affair with a younger woman.

But yes, Abhirami and Kamal sharing a lip lock with a 30 year old difference seems odd. However, I suppose the movie portrays their age gap to be small rather than their actual age.

The problem is not with older characters romancing younger ones, it arises when an aged actor above 50 tries to play the role of a mid 20 guy and romances with a girl who either is 19 or early 20's.”
