India and England are all set to face off in the Leeds Test to begin the 2025 series. India are aiming for a series win after 18 years and England will look to capitalise on the absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin. Also missing are Mohammed Shami, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara. Shubman Gill will be leading in his first Test as skipper.

When it comes to the Headingley Cricket Ground, some Indian batters have done better than others. Of course, none of them are in the current squad. In fact, the top five have retired a long time ago. Two of them have even passed away. Just shows how much time has passed.

India’s most memorable win at Headlingley was in 2002 when they hammered England by an innings. So it is no surprise to see Indian batters playing well here. The top run getter had a knack of doing well in English conditions and two other names are no big surprises at all.

So let’s take a look at the top five Indian batters with most Test runs at Headlingley:

1) Dilip Vengsarkar
