'Special Ops' Star Muzammil Ibrahim Says He Dated Deepika For 2 Years: I Broke Up With Her

Dhokha and Special Ops star Muzammil Ibrahim recently stated in an interview that he was in a relationship with Deepika Padukone for two years before she became a movie star.

When YouTuber Siddharth Kannan asked Muzammil about his relationship with Deepika, the model-turned actor seemed a bit hesitant at first since she is married now but then cleared the timeline of their relationship.

He stated, “We were in a relationship for two years. I was the first guy she met in Bombay, and she was my first serious relationship. I was in a bad relationship before that. She was very confident because she’s Prakash Padukone’s daughter, and articles would be written about her even then.”

Muzammil then added that while Deepika asked him out, it was he who broke up with her later, “She proposed to me but I broke it off with her later. I was a star at that time, she was a budding model. She’s a superstar now, nobody knows me. I am a big fan. I love watching her movies. She is a beautiful woman. She is doing so great but the fact is what it is.”

Farthing sharing details of their relationship, he said, “When we dated, we were both kids, we would go on dates on a rickshaw in the rain, that was very cute. When I eventually bought a car, I was making more money than her, she was very happy. Neither of us had much money, but we were very happy. I even made my DJ friend play her favourite song on loop for one and a half hours on her birthday. My mom loved her a lot.”

Muzammil was then asked if he is still in touch with Deepika and he replied that he was until her marriage with Ranveer Singh, “Before she got married, we would talk sometimes.”

Muzammil Ibrahim was a supermodel in the early ‘00s and made his acting debut in 2007 with Dhokha. He also featured in films like Horn 'Ok' Pleassss (2009) and Will You Marry Me? (2012).
